200 word fic, brief mention of recreational drug use

Tim wasn’t getting the hint that Kon wanted him to stay. Or maybe he was doing it on purpose. The conversation was drying up and now Tim was glancing at his watch, scratching his scabbed knuckles. Kon knew what Tim was going to say: It’s getting late. I should be going soon. In Kon’s tiny Smallville bedroom, the paint peeling off the ceiling, both of them were sprawled on the bed together, still half stoned. Tim’s sleepy eyes flicked from his watch, to the faded posters on the walls, then meeting Kon’s for half a second – something daring, teasing – then away again. Still he didn’t say anything.

Kon thought, I will not be desperate.

‘When’s your train?’ he asked.

Tim yawned. ‘I’ll drive back. I’ve got the car.’

Kon thought, Don’t drive.

‘Cool,’ he said. ‘Well – get home safe.’

Tim grinned. A long moment passed before he moved to get up from the bed. ‘I’ll see you soon.’ He reached over and knocked his fingers against Kon’s shoulder. Kon’s stomach rolled.

‘See you.’ Kon closed his eyes.

‘Night.’

Kon heard Tim go out of the room; a few moments later he heard Tim’s feet lightly on the stairs. Then the front door and the low rumbling sound of the car engine. He rolled over, tried to go to sleep, couldn’t.

AHHH ROWAN!!! kon being clingy and resenting that he has to be better and normal about tim leaving. kon being unused to it, wishing that it wasn't like this, he just wants tim to stay but tim has a life, has to be grown up, kon saying to himself he won't be desperate but he really is and it keeps him up!!!! GENIUS
